After nearly two years of research and intense field testing, MTC Engineering has gone into production on the first forged aluminum clutch basket for the Triumph Rocket III. This new forged basket is much stronger than the stock cast aluminum version.

MTC Engineering offers Hard Chrome Plated Clutch Steels for greater performance and longer wear. Hard Chrome, also known as Industrial Chrome plating, is applied thicker than decorative chrome and is harder (65-70 Rockwell). The Hard Chrome coating is porous, providing better lubricating action which helps avoid warping due to high temperatures. The coating also offers greater wear resistance than standard steels.

MTC ENGINEERING DEVELOPS GEN II MULTI-STAGE LOCKUP CLUTCH FOR BANSHEE ATV

In the past twelve years, the ATV Drag Racing Industry has been growing tremendously with a wide variety of extreme performance parts being designed and built for two stroke racers. Working closely with major leaders in the sport, MTC Engineering has developed the Gen II Multi-Stage Lockout clutch for the Yamaha Banshee.
“Skip Conder, of the ATV Drag Racing Association, has been very instrumental in the development and testing of the clutch”, says Eric Hochstetler, President of MTC Engineering. The results of testing, tuning and redesigning have shown decreases as much as .12 sec in the 60 foot times.
“I’ve watched the motorcycle industry very closely, knowing that someone had to have what we needed” said Conder. “A simple request to Eric at MTC resulted in the product that we are testing today. The Gen II Multi-Stage Lockup is user friendly, with its multiple levels of adjustment, allow you to take control of the violent sixty foot charge. Overall, I’m impressed with the tuning capability of the unit and the results speak for themselves.” Conder reported.

The John Bull Racing Team from the Island of Malta has assembled an interesting hybrid car. The power plant is a supercharged Kawasaki ZX14 running MTC Tall Deck Pistons. The clutch plates are also MTC. The car is run in three different types of races: Hill Climbing, Sprints and Circuit Racing.
Earlier this month (June 2011) in Sicily, the car took pole position, fastest lap of the weekend and won its race. “We are very pleased with the pistons”, says Joshua Anastasi, spokesperson for the team, “because they can run in a supercharged ZX14 engine fitted to a car which creates greater loads than a motorcycle for sessions greater than 30-minutes.”
